Welcome to our biggest production yet: Honda BR-V, Hyundai Stargazer, Toyota Veloz, and Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, all in top-spec trim, battling for the win in our subcompact seven-seater Big Test. And this is just part one of this two-episode showdown shot at the soon-to-open Silang-Aguinaldo interchange of CALAX.<br /><br />These crossover MPVs are in different stages of their model lifespans, but their general specs are comparable. The BR-V, priced at P1,390,000 for the VX trim, makes 119hp and 145Nm. The Stargazer, selling for P1,288,000 for the GLS spec, generates 113hp and 144Nm. The Xpander Cross, valued at P1,328,000, puts out 103hp and 141Nm; it’s also the only contender still equipped with a four-speed automatic, while the rest have continuously variable transmissions.
